Reusing Flowers
We love receiving fresh flowers! Once your flowers have started to wilt, don’t throw them away just yet and preserve them in fun and creative ways to make them even more special. Here are a few ways to preserve the gift of love!
Dried Flowers Interior
Spruce up your living space by hanging them across your wall. This gives a rustic and vintage aesthetic, bringing a new breath of life to your home. We’d suggest placing them either above your headboard or along the corridor :)
Frame Them Up
I’m sure we’re familiar with pressing dried flowers... Take it to the next level by framing them up, or put on your crafty hat to create a simple resin floral frame. Prop them up on a call and voila - you’ve got a beautiful and meaningful piece of artwork!
Edible Floral Goodies
Trend alert! We’ve noticed a popular trend of others making use of flowers into their fresh bakes and tea. This truly calls for a great instagram moment ;)
To make your own floral cookies:
- Prepare the cookie dough and lay them on a tray
- Gently brush a light coating of egg white where you want your flower to go.
- Carefully press the center of the flower into the dough until the petals lay flat and stick to the egg white and pop it in the oven!
Ps: Do ensure to check whether your flowers are edible too ;P
Floral Candles
Another way to get creative with your flowers would be to make a personalised floral candle. Perfect for gifting, or even to have it on your bedside table for the aesthetic and aroma therapy.
All you need to do with your dried flowers is to:
- Melt small candles and use the wax to paint pressed flowers onto existing candles.
- Place a layer of wax onto the candle
- Gently press your flowers onto it
- Lightly brush several layers of wax over the flower
Once that is done, bring it to cool. There you have it, your personalised pretty scented candles!
If you like the aesthetic of this floral candle, you can check out our Hand Poured Scented Candle that comes in different floral-inspired scents too.
